Housing Counseling
About to be evicted?
Don't know where you might be living soon?
Need help in finding an apartment?
If you or your family are homeless or facing eviction, our housing counselors can help! We can help you locate, secure or maintain your housing. If you are facing mortgage delinquency or foreclosure, we may also be able to assist.
Rental assistance, arrearages, mortgage assistance, security deposits, and other financial assistance may be available based upon income eligibility, location, need, availability of funds, and other considerations.
Family Housing Partnership
Families and housing counselors work together to assess needs and to establish housing goals. Together, we create a plan to solve problems and overcome barriers. We can help you work with your landlord and provide you with information about tenants' rights and responsibilities. Budgeting counseling is available for enrolled participants.
Do you need counseling for a "reverse mortgage" or home equity conversion mortgage (HECM)?
This is a program which enables you to withdraw some of the equity in your home to pay for living expenses. Our counselors can discuss the program requirements in detail so you can make a decision whether HECM might work for you.
