Want to keep nutritious food on your family's table?

CVCAC operates three emergency food shelves:

The Bradley Food Shelf in Morrisville

Central Vermont Area Food Shelf in Berlin (Barre area)

Bradford Area Food Shelf

(click each for locations and hours)

Partnerships with the Vermont Foodbank and Food Works at Two Rivers Center provide access to a variety of staples, canned goods, dairy products, some meats and fresh produce in season. Private donations of food items help support our efforts as do gifts of cash that help defray costs of food purchases.

There are a number of additional food shelves and community food sites located in central Vermont. Information for individual sites may change. Be sure to call ahead.

Farm to Family Coupons

CVCAC distributes Farm to Family coupons in partnership with the Vermont Department for Children and Families. These coupons can be redeemed for fresh fruits and vegetables at local participating farmers' markets.

Who is eligible? Your household income can be up to 185% of the federal poverty level; families who receive WIC benefits through the Vermont Health Department are also eligible. Coupon distribution begins in late June and is done on a first come, first served basis until all the coupons are gone. Coupons are valid for just one market season and they expire on October 31.
